agreed. No computer game is ever going to be completely and fairly balanced as even if you make a bare bones fps with everyone using the same gun theres always going to be ping and lag compensation deciding the outcome.
I mean...local play is a thing, to be fair.
Here's another one from the counter-strike blog. The T/CT win rates are also around the same. I would trust the HLTV blog more because balance is determined from the best players in the game. I haven't played other counter-strike games, but I know CS:GO is a balanced game in general. Map design influences the round win rates but those stats only record round wins. If the round win stats from each side are around the same, that should be an indicator that the maps are pretty balanced, thus the game is pretty balanced, even in the highest level of competitive play. I'm not sure why that wouldn't be an indicator of a balanced game. For the most part, weapons seemed to be balanced as well.
