That being said I've played around with MB2 walk forward and it's really neat. Feels good man, as the kids say.
W is ultimately fatiguing in the long run but nothing beats it for walking forward I think.
I don't get how this works in other genres though. What do you use to fire weapons in shooter games, for instance?
Yes. and People use Left Mouse Button (LMB) which really isn't good to change. It's basically the same with Right Mouse Button (RMB), usually that's used to toggle Aim Down Sights (ADS) in Shooter Games.
I would use rwb if its an isometric game or a point and click game. But anything in first person or third person where camera follows Its W or controller.
Usually special equipment or manuever. Like, in CoD, it's my killstreak. In Deus Ex, it's cover... just depends.
