It might make you sweat, but if the taste is hurting you, then you need to slowly adjust to the level of spice you mean to consume...
I love me some spice, but one thing I noticed is that the good spices in say, Indian food, are much more palatable than eating an entire family size bag of flaming hot cheetos in one sitting, for example. And I think flaming hot cheetos are delicious, just only in small doses.
But if you're a spice wimp, then just keep a glass of milk nearby. But if you don't enjoy spice, then don't bother, it might just not be for you.
Still I much prefer spicy over sour, which is my least favorite of all the tastes. Bitter and sweet being my favorites.
Though sweet and sour is great, you know the soup or flavor packet.
Guess I'm lucky? All this talk of spice, I think I'm gonna order some Indian food tomorrow. :-)
I'd worry about seriously damaging my digestive system. Which has to last everyone the rest of their lives.
I generally don't care for overhopped IPAs, but they pair with spicy stuff perfectly.
