Parasite Eve
It was a good game in it's way, had some nice ambience and action music. Even though parasite Eve 2 kinda flopped it was pretty good. I didn't like the original as much 2.

Was kind of hoping to see it, maybe one of these days we'll get several classics ported over to the PC, like Parasite Eve and Ehrgeiz

Throw in some einhandler while you're at it. That was a great bullet-hell game.

And you do know there are three Parasite Eve games, yes? 1, 2, and 3rd birthday. Aya was , one of my favorite characters for a very long time. And while I do love the first one, the second one had very refined controls. And 3rd birthday was one hell of a ride. The body switch combat tactic was especially interesting.

Square enix has a great catalog really good games that need to be ported over to PC. Both brave fencer musashi games. Tobal 1 and 2. Xenoblade. The Saga series. All of the Final Fantasy tactics games but especially war of the Lions, and the mana series. I would buy them the instant they were available.

Absolutely, I won't say no to even more PS1 games (The Legend of the Dragoon and the Ape Escape series comes to mind) being more accessible. I'm sure there are many people out there that would enjoy playing them. : )

Parasite eve 2 was weird game. Enemies, music and story were very weird.

I guess it was alright, i did play it through once or twice but the gun choices werent real choices. It wasnt like in Resident evil 4, where sticking with inferior guns would still make it possible to get through the game, but in PE 2 you could ruin your playthrough and have to start over.

PE2 was HARD at times. I remember one huge spider like being in almost linear hallway, and i was damn near of not being able to kill it and proceed.

How many people here have actually read the original book?

Parasite Eve? I remember reading bits and pieces of a book, a long time ago regarding that game, there aren't too many games that I've invested into extra non-video game content. Only significant thing that comes to mind is a sizable collection of Sonic the Hedgehog comics. (About 150 - 160 issues, I'd need to recount them)

I played the hell out of the first one on PS1, but part 2 was kinda crappy. So much so I never even finished part 2.

I'm really surprised it hasn't seen some sort of reboot or something, had a lot of potential.

Then play the third game. I put a link to it in my earlier post of videos. It's called third birthday

Made by Square, so no wonder they didnt invest in it. Its one of those companies that dont have any pride for their games. They’re only products to them. I know they’re business, but bigger the company gets, more it becomes about money, and less about creating something amazing and being passionate about it. Just cold, sterile company with so many people working there, they probably dont feel like they were creating anything or feel like they got to contribute on creating a game. Just working for pay check.

I never cared for the original, just could not get into it. I didn't REALLY care for 2 either, but since I had it back during it's time and nothing else better to do I played it, MANY times. Unlocked most of if not everything.
