i done my duty to warn people about this and your chooses are your own.
Its a PLAYSTYLE lol, so yea, you can find a letsplay that does that.
As for 'done my duty to warn people about this' I can literally go in and play the entire game doing that type of playstyle a few times.
Jesus, this is why I brought up the Skyrim and magic.... yeah its a mechanic in the game but it can literally be ignored.... I only jumped on you because you felt so outraged that you had to insult the developers calling them 12 on something you can literally ignore.
To me, thats complaining to just be complaining since it is entirely avoidable. If you can show me how you will literally die repeatedly if you dont do it then you'd have a case.... but right now that playstyle is not even viable in the highest setting for that game..
How is warning for a not necessary mechanic "doing your duty"?
Really wish they kept the melee-grab from ME3. Especially when I was doing MP. Made little sense for the Devs not to add it.
No.
Not even remotely true.
It isnt even 'requested' there is not much pressure for you to fly.
There ARE melee people yes, but the overall bulk of enemies in the entire game are ranged.
I'd say that maybeeeee 40% of enemies are melee and those are mostly the animal encounters.
The core of the game is fighting the kett or raiders and they are largely range with a few melee people focused to press your position.
Besides, even if you don't want to do the whole jumping thing, there's still the dash option. The melee people are easily solved by A: dashing away from them, B: melee-ing them in the face, or C: jump away. Jumping is not your only option, despite it being the only one you can see.
If you like the Mass Effect stories & characters, and are hoping for more of the same, you're out of luck. There are a few places that have a "Mass Effect" feel (for those who have played, I'm thinking of Vetra's loyalty mission & just tooling around H047c), but aside from some species, biotic skills and a few easter eggs, there's very little to connect it back to the trilogy. And the times it does attempt to establish a link back to the trilogy, MEA frequently retcons the lore. So MEA winds up feeling like a completely different game (which it is) in a new franchise (which it isn't).
The upshot is that people who play it who have not played a Mass Effect game before usually like it. People who HAVE played the previous Mass Effect games find the story meh, the characters bland, and the lore retcons frustrating / annoying. And that's not even getting into some of the production values.
If you come into the game as a big fan of the original trilogy you'll probably be disappointed. If you want to drive around and explore, there's fun to be had in MEA. If you can find it on sale on Origin for around $5 to $8, it's worth a purchase imo.
Not true at all. I doubt you even played MEA.
I recall almost all my targets were ranged based, with exception to the occasional ambush/apex predator/kett creature. but then again if you know what you are looking for, you won't get ambushed and you can defeat the target before it gets into melee range, so try not to see with just 30% of your vision. :P
