If you mean repetitive drudgery that prompts you to begin pondering what you're doing with your life and thinking about worthwhile stuff you could be doing instead, Borderlands set the bar for me. Even if one imagines Sisyphus happy, one would probably also get quickly bored.

Minecraft, definitely.
The holy trinity of Tetris, Columns and Puyo Puyo.
VPX Pinball (avoid FX Pinball like the plague)
Curious as to why you weren't feeling it with MHW. I'm considering getting it.
Edit: The cutscenes are unskippable
Ok, thanks for your opinion!
Path of exile, free diablo like game
but path of exile is grindy AF
when the game ends, you just end up repeating sections of map youve already played, and they are tiered to like 15. you need three level 1 maps to create a level 2 map, and youll have level 1 maps dropping in level 10 maps.
If you want to 6-link a piece of gear it costs fifteen hundred drops. Like it's insane.
Then the game advertises playing your own way, but is HEAVILY meta dependent on the top tier maps, so youll end up respeccing somewhere in there, and unless you want to pay irl money that essentially means you get to outright start over, or "rerolling" as it's called.
