you should really consider going to a new platform
you can get a ryzen 1600 af,motherboard and 8gb of ddr4 3000mhz ram for around $200 USD that i5 2550k is around 200 USD on amazon and newegg, and not much cheaper on ebay.
but here's a video of the i5 2500k
(slightly slower version of that CPU. the i5 2550k is a bit slower then a i3 8100) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEasir6bsx8
imo not a good deal. considering the 1600 af is 5-10% faster then a i3 9100f (the big brother to the i3 8100. better to ditch your current socket, you'd be getting a new platform with a good upgrade path and around 20% better performance in games. for the same price as staying with your current old socket. )

Not very much lmao, I just found that I could get an Intel Core i5-2500K which is compatible for £30ish. Might consider upgrading to i7-2700K as that is also compatible. Just wanted a processor which won't bottleneck my gpu without upgrading my whole system.
still imo think you should spend the extra money and go to a new platform tho
