My laptop specs:
CPU: AMD E1-6010 APU with Radeon R2 Graphics
CPU Speed: 1.35 GHz
RAM: 4 GB
Video memory: 512 MB

Dwarf Fortress (the original, not the one on steam) is literally ASCII "graphics" that run in a cmd-window.
it can be CPU heavy though.

it is a paid game but in sale it is sold for less than a dollar (i think)

System reqs. on steam currently claim 2 ghz, but I used to play an older version with a 1 ghz single core G4 Power P.C. e-mac so it might work.
