Epic game store (DRM free?)
I just claimed today my free copy of GTA5, i own one on steam but who cares.
still i wonder are epic games DRM free? i know GTA5 have it's own launcher and is not DRM free

I guess the Epic GTA5 do not have the Steam DRM build in so it should be better then Steam version

If you need to be logged into your account to play the game, it's not DRM-free.

why are you asking after claiming the game? if it were that much of a concern you wouldn't claim it and ask the question first.

No this looks more like a misguided advertising attempt of Epic because it has a free game.

ah not really i not interesting in playing GTA5 at this moment and not really care to install the Epic launcher.

still the simple question if Epic have DRM free games is i guess a to hard question.
for example if i would buy Borderlands 3 (yea its not DRM free it have denuvo) but on steam it's Denuvo + Steam DRM.
do Epic have a DRM on top of Denuvo?
They want that epic launcher installed to background harvest daily data so very unlikely drm free

nice lies you telling their bro i check the data no information and no DRM getting pushed by Epic
it's more DRM free then Steam is.

so next time try to keep it to facts.

Why is this simple question being overcomplicated?

Again, if you need to be logged into your Epic Games account to be able to access the game, then it's not DRM-free.
Your account is the DRM, and it's the same for Steam.

Every major gaming platform today relies on DRM, with companies like Valve, Epic Games, Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo owning players' libraries in some form. In a digital-first ecosystem, it's just easier this way. Players weren't so agreeable when it came to SecuROM, the granddaddy of DRM.Feb

Digital rights management (DRM) is a systematic approach to copyright protection for digital media. The purpose of DRM is to prevent unauthorized redistribution of digital media and restrict the ways consumers can copy content they've purchased.

cool story bro but that do not take away the fact that the store (in this case Epic) do not include DRM.

most publisher like Ubisoft have denuvo but if you play lets's say a title on steam from Unbisoft you have 2 DRM's loaded into your memory.

while on Epic only 1 that of the puplisher. meaning lower proccessing power being used.

that being stated, GTA5 will have better performance on Epic then on steam do to DRM

I respect your opinion that you think epic games store is “DRM free” I just thought I would throw some information that answers your question you don’t have to agree with me or anyone else saying that all major platforms have DRM including the epic games store and that’s fine I’m just answering your question. I don’t plan on starting a childish sibling battle over it. Heck let’s say sure the epic game store didn’t have drm ok the client itself that dosnt mean publisher/devs couldn’t add drm to there games so yeah drm wherever you go except for GOG.
