HELP! PC still slower after unistalling Riot's Vanguard AC and Valorant...
*EDIT*: I tried to seek help on Riot's Valorant's Reddit, but my posts get auto-deleted by a mod for no reason, and I am desperate to fix this problem...
Guys, I need your help. As soon as I installed Valorant in the day right after when I received a key on Twitch, I installed Valorant and was recommended to me to restart the pc after installing Riot Vanguard. And as I restarted, startups and turnoffs started to slow down. And as I thought about uninstalling the game right away, so I did, but I uninstalled Vanguard, starting just by disabling anti cheat and uninstalling it and then uninstalling Valorant. But the problem is that startups and turnoffs are still slow even after uninstallation. Is there a Riot process that I haven't uninstalled yet? Was anticheat just malware / spyware / rootkit that I should uninstall, even to mention that the anti cheat is runs at kernel level?

I can think of a few things you could try.

Firstly, use applications like BleachBit[www.bleachbit.org] & Kcleaner[kcsoftwares.com] - (some others here[www.techspot.com] - just don't use CCleaner) to clean your Registry and make things are properly uninstalled. Secondly, if that doesn't work, use the System Restore[www.lifewire.com] feature to return your system to a state from before the software was initially installed.

If neither work, reinstalling Windows is your only option.

Internet Explorer itself is harmful to be used for anything other than downloading another browser, whereas there is absolutely nothing harmful about the programs I linked to - I use them all the fricking time to work with other people's computers.

internet explorer

Oh, and here's an article[news.thewindowsclub.com] highlighting the fact that even Microsoft recommends against using Internet Explorer. Let me say that again: MICROSOFT itself recommends against using its very own Internet Explorer.

You need to fresh install Windows 10 via USB.

Bro I just used the feature of system Restore and it took me 2 hrs to complete and now the startups are running ok just like bfore, but when I close the computer, its a little bit slower than normal.
EDIT: Total unistalled Valorant and Vanguard and also my pc is now faster in start up and in power off. Thanks guys. And btw Riot, Nice try.

Your problem is you are using Internet Explorer, first of all. You should be using something more reliable and safe like Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.

I know I'm late, and by now you all probably reset your pcs, but the problem is probably due to the fact vanguard starts with Windows and is out of your control.
This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
