Best metal vocalist?

Personally I like John Tardy (of Obituary) with his fun growling, but I also like Joel Grind (of Toxic Holocaust) , though from what I've seen it seems a lot of people cant stand his vocals? Listening to Sodom's new album I'm also kinda digging Tom Angelripper. Anyhow, what do you think? And no arguing please guys. =P

As I said, I prefer the gutural/growling, but Dio does have nice vocals =3

I appreciate your input, but if you hate metal and it's vocals, I'm not sure why you're here xP
Anyways, have a nice night. Also, if you're looking for actual singing, some vocalists who do clean vocals dont growl at all, such as Dio, and etc. Also, I hate to be that guy but technically anyone who can make sounds could be considered singing since the defintion is "make musical sounds with the voice, especially words with a set tune" and music is completely subjective, but seeing as it is completely subjective, you certainly have the right to your opinion, and I thank you for sharing it =3

Angela Gossow, ex Arch Enemy.

Mark Jansen from MaYan and Epica isn't bad either.


But in general i prefer clear vocals.
For example:

Jørn Lande
Hansi Kürsch
Jens Carlsson (You can compare him with Hansi Kürsch)
Russell Allen
Floor Jansen
Simone Simons
Damien Wilson
Attila Dorn
Ronnie James Dio
Nils Patrik Johansson (His voice has a nice Dio touch)

I also like the rough clear vocals from Chris Boltendahl (Grave Digger),
Michael Seifert (Rebellion) and Jens Börner (Lonewolf).

I dont think this can be considered metal, but the MCR vocalist is kinda cool
