But it's still good to know how to build your own, you'd even get it cheaper if you did and you'd learn about exactly what goes into it and how things should run.
Used to always build my own way back when, but these days I've got stuff to do, and as much as I like having a PC that can play games, PC hardware is seriously the most boring thing in the universe. No way I'm spending loads of time keeping up with which parts are best when I can find a place who builds them and customise a couple of things that really stand out if I need to.
some are good but you still kind of pay for the brand name , I have one since nearly 6 years and it still kind of work well for a computer not specifically built for gaming.
my first 2 PCs were prebuilts: a pentium 166mhz mmx and an intel celeron 1.7ghz.

it depends on know how, availability of stores/components/time, and willing to do the work.
Shipping might make all the difference if you aren't picking the PC up from a business yourself.
Investing the time and energy to build one from scratch is so much more rewarding honestly.
Yes it's a bit more expensive but what would you expect ? You're paying labor fees to build your PC.
I bought pre-built system like 12 years ago and sides from upgrading RAM GPU and adding an extra two hdds it's as is from when i got it, same PSU and all and the OS drive is still going ok.
it's luck of the draw. My system came with https://www.mwave.com.au/product/bliss-psatx600q-600w-silent-psu-atx-eps-silent-aa49286 and the champ is still going even after 10+ years.
Ikea but for your own PC. Makes sense
