Corona Virus and the release of Resident Evil 3 Remake and Final Fantasy 7 Remake

In the midst of the Corona Virus that the world is experiencing I find it very interesting that 2 games from the 90's that are being remade all these years later are very similar in story to the Corona Virus story.

The chances that these 2 games were even remade were very slim to begin with, combined with the timing that BOTH are releasing in April and that the stories both relate to viruses and the earth. Final Fantasy 7 is my all time favorite game and I have been waiting so many years for it to be remade and it is finally releasing soon, in line with the time of the virus that's really happening.

The story of FF7 relates to Jenova that landed on the planet 2000 years ago and wipes out a good population of the Centra through a virus. The story is about the life-stream of the earth, the forces of nature in place that protects it and basically that we shouldn't mess with mother nature's resources. Today maybe nature is a bit angry with the world for us treating her so badly and wanted to speak up, but I'm just letting my imagination run wild.

The story of Resident Evil 3 of course relates to a virus outbreak but is more connected to zombies. I just find it uncanny that these old games I grew up playing are even coming back, and that the timing ties into this challenging virus, and that the stories of these games almost want to speak to us and give us some sort of message... Let's just not bring the recent classic Doom release into this equation :)

The lock-downs are happening at different times but at the moment we are all facing this currently.

Coupled with that I still find it very cool that two old school games from the 90's are being released during this time and the chances of this happening all at once is very interesting to me.

What other AAA games are being released that relate to pathogens during this time as we go into lock-downs? This would also be interesting to know...

“Timing” is some thin gruel. One chooses a moment and finds so many things are happening that pareidolia is almost bound to find some “interesting association” that is nothing more than accident.

On the contrary there is a Virus mentioned if Final Fantasy 7. Quote from Wikipedia - "The Planet had once been inhabited by the Cetra (or "Ancients"), who were almost completely destroyed by Jenova, an extraterrestrial lifeform that crashed onto the Planet 2,000 years previously, and began infecting the Cetra with a virus.[9] When Jenova was unearthed by a Shinra science team, it was mistakenly identified as a Cetra. This caused Sephiroth to believe he was also a Cetra, and that humans had betrayed his ancestors.

Yep its like saying hey a guy in that game has a cold, isn't that so cool its similar to the coronavirus...
