2 million players playing valve games in one time.
Lot of people run Steam
Lot of people using steam for trades
Lot of people downloading games.

I mean games Is much more much more demanding than videos on YouTube and Facebook, or pictures, and so on, but it is much less.
How much servers Steam had?

Nope,

Most of it are virtualized, meaning they have a global network of datacenters(if they are famous but i doubt) so they purchase a Platform As A Service and own the networks then distribute servers :)

valve only has 1 server but has many pipes.

The content servers they mention are for content delivery.

Running the client services, trading and the forums are hosted elsewhere.
