The Front Door of Bowser's Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey

In Super Mario Odyssey, there's this big door near where the Odyssey lands after beating the game, but it's closed and there's a warp pipe and a Toad near by saying that I have to take the shortcut pipe. Is there a way to open this door? (The door's opened when first arriving to the kingdom)

I already looked online and I can't find any mention of it, so I'm not sure if it can be opened.

That's not the door but some time after I posted, I found the switch that opened the door near the Odyssey (the switch is near the Koopa Freerunning finish line).
