Actually yes, I might be a girl but I did get catfished in a way once.

A person befriended me as a girl, and we talked about stuff and played some games together, eventually I found out they were a guy and they were trying to learn more about my personality so they could attempt to start a relationship with me, they thought I would be more open to hanging out with other girls than some random guy.

stupidest thing ever, I was not happy about it.

"Surely she will like me once I've pretended to be the opposite sex in an attempt to discover her inner-most personality traits because somehow a random chick doing this is somehow less creepy than a random guy doing it mwhahahaha!!"

stupidest thing ever, I was not happy about it.

Similar thing happened to me. He even sent me a "face reveal". I didn't really think anything of it since I tend to be somewhat trusting. I never reverse searched it. At least he confessed himself though.
