Well what can I say, some more big excluisive titles heading to epic and bypassing steam. Valve you really need to do something to stop this from happening.

Valve does not force exclusivity contracts on any developer or publisher.

Force contracts? Those games have newer come to pc unless a company like epic stepped in. There where no talk about Detroit was timed exclusive on ps4.

Epic is paying developers for exclusives to steal customers. This is trashy and tacky and Valve doesn't need to nor should emulate it. Valve gives developers freedom. Epic takes it.

because exclusives are cancer , thats why
with steam its a bit different because valve never stopped people from selling their keys on humble , fanatical and co , or even on their own store (atleast i never heard about that , and square enix has their own store page )

you shouldnt have to use another platform for playing games , you already pay for them , so devs should try to make it more convenient for you , not make it harder for you , this rather makes me get a used ps4 and then just write the devs " i just got used copies of your games, who is laughing now"


theres no " you can only get playstation at gamestop, while xbox now is exclusive to wallmart , you can have all the money, gamestop only has playstation , no matter how much you want an xbox


games are entertainment , and you can get lots of things for entertainment instead , i watch anime for example

and theres so many games, you dont need "that one game" , you simply dont , if i upgrade to a new gpu , i dont lose my old games, if consoles start a new gen i wont lose them either, this whole practise of exclusives doesnt belong on pc , simply because on pc you dont have to pick "either sony or microsoft" steam already has tons of games you would want , theres no need for multiple stores , especially not when one just throws money around , im so glad apex will kill fortnite in the long run

if you dont understand how things work , dont talk about those things online , its not that epic did something special here , they probably just did the usual , throw fortnite money around , if anything , it shows us , that all these exclusives would be pc exclusives instead if valve was as low as epic ans bribed devs off sony

i honestly never cared about those games enough to even look up gameplay , i couldnt care less , if they already port it to pc , why not release it on all platforms ? theres tons of steam games i can get on humble , fanatical , less legal key sellers and so on , its not like steam is the only place to get steam games

just out of spite , once this game comes to steam , im getting a key on "insert keysite" either they get 0€ because the keys were stolen , or they get very little because well , if the key is just 20€ , i dont think much money went to the publisher

im against this exclusivity , i am NOT going to use epic , no matter what so for me its just the developers showing their true faces and showing me they are scum that doesnt deserve my money , i could earn 3000€ per month and i wouldnt pay for those games , i just play different games

Beyond: two souls, Detroit and heavy rain becoming epic exclusive. Cool for PC gamers I played all of them on consoles. Not keen on the subject matter in Heavy Rain so I didn't get far. I really liked the other two games. They all play out similar to the Telltale formula.

If you did not own a console, then who cares. We have enough bad PC ports and often these console games are so dumbed down. If they are stupid enough to also move those PC ports to exclusiveness on Epic, then I and most likely alot of others will not have any interest anyway.

What are you even talking about? The games Epic has cut exclusive contracts with have already been on PC. Epic is not for the little guy and they are not helping the indie dev community. They are only benefiting a handful of publishers and developers, most of whom are already famous. Those games would definitely have come to PC with or without Epic.
