Yes but you aren't going to play the game the exact same way that the person you are watching does. The interesting part about let's play is that you can see how other people play video games and their thoughts about it (like for example let's say that you played Dark Souls 3 as a sorcerer you want to see the playthrough of a pyromancer but you don't feel like playing the game again from start to finish)

maybe at first but peole quickly get bored with "just watching others play for the sake of watching them" like all forms of entertaiment most gradually watch more high octane vids (FINISH DARK SOULS WITHOUT ARMOR, FINISH DARK SOULS WITH A WOODEN CLUB etc) until eventually they watch others play more then they play themselves, its cancer and people are better of forming thier own opinions and doing things for themselves then wasting away watching others do it

the witcher 1 had a good story (imo the best of all 3, but I'm insane so you can discount that opinion) but playing it was a total mindnumbing chore. it... gameplay... no bueno.

so a lot of people got their fill of its story by let's plays rather than the pain and misery of click click click HECKING DROWNERS RAAAARGH

if they do get a computer to run it the game is lready spoiled and ruined for them and all thry have left to experience with not only is not much of an experience or they could weait and do the thing they really wanted to in rthe first place which to them is so much sweeter.

ok but all the person is doing is cutting out most of the gameplay to give those watching an unrealistic view of the game

not only that but heb is rebranding the most notable parts of the game under himself which is leing

While I am not a fan of such videos, I do see a use for them. I tend to watch a level or so of them when trying to decide if I want a game or not, to see how the game is. The tutorial videos that some make, don't show the game well enough to make such a determination. imho.

Actually, it really depends on the player/streamer. There are very many let's plays that are basically the same thing as a walkthrough. And a walkthrough could also be called a Let's Play. They're all gameplay videos, regardless of how you want to classify them.
