a few years ago, got my kidney stones removed via extra-corporeal shockwave lithotripsy, an out patient urology procedure...
kidney stone formation a result of decades of excessive soda drinking (~1L per day), lots of nuts and beans, sugary foods, and poor physical activity.
Coworker had to have that done. He was in his 50's. Drank a couple cans of Mountain Dew every day for like 30 years lol. Apparently Mountain Dew is the worst thing you can drink long term if you want to avoid kidney stones. At least it is what that guy told me. Funny thing is, he still occasionally drinks Mountain Dews at work :/
I wouldn't doubt it. Like I said, even after he complained about how terrible the pain of the stone was and according to him was told that was the most likely culprit, he still drinks it at least some lol.
Don't want sugar ruining the taste of a good expresso.
