Why Call Of Duty still so expensive?
Full Disclosure- I'm poor and not interested in the series at all.

Just out of curiosity why the hell even 5-8 years old COD games still sold at full price. Even in sale they are damn too expensive. It's not that most of their multiplayer communities are alive. The highest played game is BO3 which was released in 2015, 4 and a half years ago has only 750 players online, and still cost around $40 after sale.

They are just greedy that about it.

There is no legal requirement for games to get cheaper, just like there is no legal requirement for anyone to get therm.

Because companies like money.
tmwfte Apr 4, 2019 @ 11:25pm
Because people will still pay the price at which it is offered.

Also,

Your math's a bit wonky. November 6 2015 isn't not four and a half years ago. It's 3 and third years ago.

The Modern warfare series deserves to be full priced to this day.

Modern warfare is good but people give it to much credit

With a franchise that big, developers take the opportunity to raise their game's release price near sixty dollars to capitalise on the community purchasing their newest product.

We need to stop with the 'Greed' nonsense to be honest, its not greed, it's business and they know people are willing to folk out the kind of money COD is asking for. I don't believe I have ever seen a good deal on a cod game yet thats less than 50%.

and now guess why , activision is one of those companies that are stuck in the past where consoles were dominating , back on consoles the "call of duty" brand was THE shoooter series, it stopped being that around mw3 and hit a low with ghosts and onward

activision doesnt care about those games ,they already are on steam , they just leave them there and never reduce their may price because they dont realize that could generate sales, if i could get a cod for 5€ i would get it for the campaign

You are right, that's why it's very okay for them to sells a $30 Hammer in their latest Blackops4 lootbox, I mean a single $30 melee weapon is obviously better than their previous maps/campaign/newmode DLC right?

People obviously think it is okay given that people still buy enough CoD and DLC tp support Activision.
