I can think of some games that wasn't well received, but I enjoyed them even if they didn't turn out to be my epic faves.
Alien Colonial Marines.
Dead Island Riptide.
Far Cry 2.
Mass Effect Andromeda.
Resident Evil 5 and more so 6.
A few of those games i agree with, they are really good. FC Primal is certainly up there as one i like, primates with flint weapons kicking the crap out of each other.
FC2 has a very odd an relaxing atmosphere to it, conflicting with the often high octane drive to survive with weapons that'll fall apart on you after extended use.. unless you find a golden AK about. perfect resource management.
MEA is right up there with the Trilogy, despite a few niggling issues i like it a lot.
Found the new Dante to be quite an enjoyable rebellious character who actually does grow through the game and the gameplay was much more enjoyable and organic than previous titles. The artistic direction was also something very impressive and stylish
Takedown Red Sabre: Tactical shooter that requires very cooperative players, too bad the game is already dead and playing with bots it's a pain. The A.I. is utterly pathetic and dumb.
I loved that game. Sure, it wasn't as good as F.E.A.R. but hey - it's still FPS Slow-Mo-Gore-Carnage.
