Capture card not recording ps4 audio?

I had just baught a avermedia lgp lite capture card to record ps4 gameplay with friends. I can recod the video fine, the program is set up fine, and everything seems to work but my audio. I got a elgato party chat link so i can use my headphones/mic on my controller and still record it, but no audio gets recorded. When i change my settings to record the hdmi channel and i unplug my headset, audio works fine. I cant get the capture card to record the chat link(i have it plugged into audio in and i set the program settings to recod audio in).
