I HATE Windows Cortana

Anyone else hate this *****? Constantly pestering me with little windows while Im trying to play a game.

Fix apps that are blurry for the 50th time despite apps not being blurry? Heres what happening IRL. Yes cortana is so hip she uses internet acronyms. I even get messages about how Cortana will not interrupt my gaming time with her nagging... while Im playing games.

To add insult to injury, not only does Cortana hog RAM/system resources, not only is the process unkillable and ending it with task manager will promptly restart it a second after, but you cant even turn the ****er off. Ive done extensive googling trying to find a way to murder this asinine feature, but almost every article explicitly states that forcing it to go the hell away can basically break Windows. Thanks Microsoft.

i once told her to shut off the pc becuase i was tired and she said "okay. searching in the web. shut up pc" as she was telling me to shut up. it was 12 am in the night and my pc was left on.

Actually shutting down Cortana it's incredibly simple procedure, and she's not always listening, as I get no command functionality when I have her turned off. Even if she was still on I keep my microphones off unless I'm using them for voice communication. Not exactly hard to do, it's two button clicks on and off

You can turn off her voice activate function, this should allow for uninterrupted game play. Cortana icon < settings < Wake word < turn off voice activation. Done!

Get a free program called Shutup10, and turn all that stuff off. Not just Cortana, but everything else that's intrusive or borderline spyware that's incorporated into Windows. Shutup10 lets you turn it all off -- with options for each and every item.

You have to turn some of it back on every month or so, for windows to update if you want, but then you just turn it all back off again. I can't recommend it enough.
