A discord moderator who is banning people for no reason.

He'll only ban someone if he's payed or if they hate furries

Yeah, he sounds like an a-hole to me.

Well that doesn't sound very professional... how unfortunate. :steamsad:

Is he a moderator for a streamer, or is it like a Discord group thing?

You are comparing apples to oranges.
Steam is a gaming platform that is focusing on buying and downloading games.
Discord is a gaming platform that is focusing on chatting with people.

Yeah, but you can chat, join groups, and participate in discussions on Steam. As well as buy games and other stuff. It's like Facebook and Messenger, but for gaming.

Yea i thought discord was a free for all.

Discord does have moderators, depending on how the channel is set up. I follow a few GTA RP streamers on Discord, and they all have moderators of some kind.

Discord does have people who go around and check groups or people - mostly only happens if they are directly complained too though.

Well, that's just the channel. That's not Discord. Anyone can create a channel.
Basically, to my knowledge: Steam has staff. Those staff are moderators/admins/staff. Basically, they take care of the platform. It's like... let's say group moderators. They moderate their single group. Meanwhile, Steam moderators moderate the platform and make sure no rules are being broken.

Attempted to explain, haven't used the platform in years so idk

The first sentence doesn't make much sense and sounds like a baseless conspiracy theory that a random user posted on Reddit. If a moderator did something like that, they would get fired.

The second sentence is probably true, justified AND very professional because "hating" could be seen as mocking, stalking, intimidating or harassing:

You can get banned by Discord moderators if you are caught uploading nymphet explicit material (Lolitia or whatever it is called) but not for forms of furry explicit content involving 'cubs'. Both are of course questionable to say the least but both being very similar in themes they insert into their respective communities' art mediums should be worthy of having them both banned.

Spot the similarity. Hint: it is two words and starts with gaming and ends with platform

Also, your analogy of apples and oranges is bad, since why couldn't one compare a fruit to another fruit?

Why can't I compare one gaming platform to another gaming platform?
