I've been playing them for years and I'm forever noob at aiming. Some of us will always be. The whole "Practice" is BS... you either are, or you're not, life's like that.
Eventually because of recoil it hits head anyway
eventually once you see an enemy it'll be second nature to flick to it and start shooting
also make sure you've got a good enough mouse which has high enough inches per second otherwise if your flicks are too fast your mouse will become unresponsive to extremely fast flicks/movements
alsso really important, you need to get in the habit of aiming for the head, pre aiming at headheight and pre aiming around corners that need to be cleared - just so you don't fall into any bad habits
First you're going to want to crank up your sensitivity. I keep mine about 70% -75% in most games. You can try to slowly increase you sensitivity until you reach a higher number, but 30% is too low.
After that it just takes practice. Besides just playing the games I'd recommend entering your favor first person shooter and practice aiming at a certain place on the wall. Move the mouse away from that spot, and then try to get good at aiming the mouse to the specific spot. Try to do this as fast as possible but also realizing that accuracy is more important then speed.
Once you get good at moving the mouse away and re-acquiring a target that's not moving. Use that same spot and run around, jumping, spinning around, trying to disorient you as much as possible, and then try to re-acquire that spot.
Also if you're always trying to play the sniper class in those games and not getting better I suggest you try another class. I play Team Fortress 2 (free on steam) and if you want to get better at sniping but suck at sniper you can actually increase your skill by playing other classes like soldier or heavy. Because you're training yourself for the reaction of other players.
in both insurgency games you should keep in kind most of the time 2 bullets or 3 is enough to kill someone, smokes are extremely important to be able to take objectives and that constantly running is bad due to the added time in drawing your gun usually means death
i wouldnt recommend a really high sensitivity,
of course it depends but in most games such as csgo, insurgency and 6siege a person whose used to low sensitivity will have better consistency when it comes to accuracy compared to those who are used to a high sensitivity
in a fps like tf2 and overwatch, high sensitivities dont matter as much
Also, try downloading OSU!, which isn't an FPS game but can help tremendously with reaction time and aim/precision.
Work smart not hard.
If you could place your crosshairs to where the enemy walks into it, all you need to do is fire.
Obviously it’s hard to do this all the time but this sort of thing is where you need to practice.
Learn the map, study where people like to hide and place your crosshairs accordingly.
2. Tape down fire button.
3. Throw your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mouse.
4. Profit.
That is a flawed argument. Do you realize that there are techniques and exercises to improve the tracking movement and accuracy?
