swag

a curtain or piece of fabric fastened so as to hang in a drooping curve.

money or goods taken by a thief or burglar.
"their homes offer tempting swag for burglars"
synonyms:

AKA booty, plunder, loot, or ill-gotten gains.

In English (UK) it means a WAG who goes around sleeping with too many footballers.

The real meaning or fake meaning?

S.W.A.G = Secretly.We.Are.Gay

Kinda... but not really, it's a developed word.

Back in prison, males would sag their pants, if acceptable to that relationship, as it's a single gender 'all male' prison. Then once they got out, their children saw it and assumed it's a cool style, starting to make it go viral around schools. The new generation's alternative word for "cool", "sexy", "looking good" and "carrying themselves".

So it became a fashion sense among teens.

Who needs blinds or shutters when you got swag?
Bring swag back for 2019, but for this definition.

You will then need to trace it back to the 1940s "Hansom swag fellowes".

In which it was originally 'swagger'. You can look up William Shakespeare 'swagger'.

The use of 'swag' to mean "stylish confidence".

Swagger being the verb meaning:
- to walk or strut with a defiant or insolent air.
- to boast or brag noisily.
