Borderlands 3... Underwhelming?

Is it just me or is Borderlands 3 underwhelming?

I'm not putting this in the Borderlands discussion because Off Topic gets more reads.

When i saw the gameplay trailer for it, it just seemed a lot like the previous titles but reskinned with different characters, guns, and better lighting. I feel like they could've made the first trailer better, probably with a cinematic short movie, or a teaser video. It's 2K so they definitely have the budget to do these things and build up the hype for BL3 properly. I'm still definitely going to buy it for sure, but man they could've done better.

What do you guys think?

I played BL2 first, so I never got into BL1 when I tried. No mini map, lack of the QoL features of BL2, etc. were just turn offs for me. Now with the remaster of BL1 coming out tomorrow, these issues will be resolved -- and I'm excited about finally playing through BL1.

I'm hoping the remaster will get a lot of people into the first game, since there is a really good game buried under all the clunky and dated parts of it. The weapon gen system is way better than BL2 imo.

The first one hit its peak with the Zombie DLC for me then just got burnt out.

At the very worst it's going to be the same thing again which is fine. I personally can't seem myself going through the bad humour again. Only made me smile a couple of times then was just annoying.

That's blasphemy! Why would you mute such great characters like Tiny Tina or Mr. Torgue?

cause they stop being funny pretty fast

No gameplay at all and people assume some stuff out of a trailer, like 7 years? Between 2 and 3. Come on guys, you can do better than this.

This was a trailer made for veterans at this point. Let's wait for more, E3 is a few months off.

May not have had raw gameplay but there is some info we can get from the trailer.

It looks like Borderlands. If you have a Borderlands shaped itch to scratch it will do just fine.

i just wish they will also focus on optimization on that title. the second game run at 60 on my pc but that is with all settings turned to low+disable some option in .ini file. if not, the game would still run at 60 but drop down to 20 every gun fight with stutter and that's just annoying.

The only complaint I have to that trailer is there's no Mr Torque,Gaige and The psycho

Don't be surprised if they were to have a cameo appearance (especially Mr. Torgue).

Cheapest version is £49.99. Season pass version is £84.99 on epic store aaaaaaaaa. £90 for a game these days is too much imo.

Pretty standard pricing if you ask me? sure it wont be a game changer in pricing some of us hoped with cheaper deals.
