Sadly it was a Google idea, that maybe could mean:
-Poor support service(tell me one service where i can contact directly google somewhere, where i will not receive emails from a bot)
-It could last for years, but they failed a lot,Inbox by Gmail(seriously two email clients for just one company(???)),Google Allo,Google + are closed, days are counted even for Hangouts.I think even Google Duo will close in the future, too.
If Stadia will fail in some years, nothing new.
But if Stadia will really kill pc gaming....It will be in a far future.
Do you really want to live without games on your own?
People should ask this to themselves.
I don't want without games on my own and i want to play with my own pc with games that i choice not with ones that Google choice to sell on its platform.
A gamer is basically a gamer for life. I been gaming for close to 40 years myself, I don't see me ever giving up gaming ever by my own choice.
You may play and buy your PC all you want though, as more powerful tech becomes standard and cheaper pc gaming will expand significantly.

I was a part of Google "project stream" which was Stadia's alpha/beta basically. It worked And not just worked, but was I'mpressive and could challenge a console in many ways. I do have cable internet with 75mbps speed that runs higher frequently and I live in an area where my ping is very low along with any latency and have a 5ghz band dual router.
This is the future, I'm sure of it and it's just a matter of time , but you won't lose your PC. I've put money on it literally and have made money already and will continue to do so.
Always more controls, very oppressive. They'll choose if you're toxic, they will choose which people you can play in multiplayer, they'll choose what are the right content for you and they'll have a parental control but no adult content, platform very closed and bigoted. Who supports censorship can't be innovative.
most places dont even have cables that support over 25 mbit , and even with my 125 mbit internet , and my pc being connected via lan , when i once streamed ffxv to my laptop , the delay was noticeable
If anything, Stadia will influence developers to make Stadia friendly games on PC, probably utilizing Vulkan in place of DirectX, since Stadia doesn't run on MS Windows.
Only thing it has the potential to kill really is DirectX usage by developers IMO.
