Report a translation problem
You could be staring someone down or staring because you like them, etc.
A good example of this is if a girl is staring at you, you look at them and they suddenly look away. That's normally a clear sign they most likely are interested in you, but shy in that fact. Assuming you have the power to make the first move, rather than themselves.
On the other hand, if someone is staring down another person and refuses to break that eye contact. It's normally a clear sign that they are sizing you up for a fight.
I've done the top-down-then-back-up look.
A few times the person was close enough that I could shuffle besides them shoulder-to-shoulder and, still looking, just let out a slow, deep "yeeees?"
I'm 6' 3", people don't pick fights with me. I have to look down at most people.
Horrible strategy. Someone barely has to move to grab your wrist and elbow and give you a lesson on obtuse angles.
If you gotta hit someone, hit them between the jaw and ear (backhand). If you do it right, they won't be back up.
