Why some people hate PVP video game?

Dont get me wrong. PvE game is worth it. I played tomb raider and it was good experince.
But.. Why people hate PvP game? (like csgo. LoL , Fortnite) because they are competion?

Yes, they do. Servers I play on are all PvE.

I cant think of a pve game on any server other than skyblock

The toxicity mainly, competitive games tend to bring out the absolute worst versions of everyone. They're breeding grounds for demeaning behavior, racism, and general bigotry. On top of that, a lot of people use them to vent because there are absolutely zero consequences to being a jackhole online.

Then of course, depending on what PvP game we're talking about (such as MMORPGs), there's always the aspect of pay to win to discuss. Or as some people want to call it "pay to advance more quickly" which is the exact same thing. Those who don't whale will never be on par with those who do.

i think the competitive nature of the games ensures toxicity. i just don't like competition, i like games where you can just play to have fun !

As for the topic itself, let's just say real life is competitive enough without adding high-level PvP into play. I've nothing against the format itself, but am not horribly inclined to push myself further just to get better at playing video games; it's certainly not a very rewarding affair.

In a PVP game someone has to loose so another person can have fun. That is the main drawback and the main attraction. Due to the nature of PVP and competitiveness, they can also cause some pretty toxic behavior by people who cannot control their emotions. That is why a lot of people "hate" PVP games.

Pvp more often end up with one player or team being just much better then the other and the whole match is that side demolishing the other ... and it's also stressful compared to solo or coop games.

Hate is a powerful word. I dislike some PvP games because of the boring repetition. There are a few that

Yeah well, it's just boring.

One of the things I rarely care about is highscores, unless I decide to care about them. Like in a recent game, where I did get the "S-S-Superman --- Clear all stages with an S rank." achievement, because it turned out that getting "S" wasn't all that difficult.

PvP games are nothing-but highscores. There is no gameplay.

People DON'T hate PvP games.
Steam's top rated most played games are PvP. CSGO, PubG, Team Fortress 2 right now according to steam stats.
And Fortnite has the Largest player base in the world now days.
So, majority of the people in the world LOVES PvP.

Steam forum doesn't represent the world.
A game is NOT bad because Only few hundred people in the steam forum called it bad.
