Why some people hate PVP video game?
Dont get me wrong. PvE game is worth it. I played tomb raider and it was good experince.
But.. Why people hate PvP game? (like csgo. LoL , Fortnite) because they are competion?

This. People dont play pvp games because theyre bad at them. That, and alongside the fact that PvE games often have a story mode and make you feel like a powerful beast

Pretty sure he was referring to the games being garbage heh.
It could mean either one. English is weird

My last MMO has daily PvE limit, and apparently you can expand it by doing PvP dailies. not very big ones, though. One is seems to be 6v6, I'm hesitant to try it. Because... teamwork... ugh...

Teamwork makes the dream work!

As I said, desire to let the more confident ones win conflicts with desire to not be the load to the team. It's not the same as 1v1.
I like the argument that people just need thicker skin,,,, until the person saying it has the toxic ♥♥♥♥ dumped on his head, where's your thick skin?

Anyway, there are ♥♥♥♥ tons of games floating around, the reason there are so many is because there are soany people with different tastes. I prefer sims like Rimworld and RPGs and home brews. Someone else might like PVP, that's ok, I don't force or wonder why someone doesn't like my games because I'm smart enough to understand that my preferences aren't everyone else's.

You should be ashamed that you're not playing Rimworld by garden gnome!!

For me, it's because more often then not, one team will totally thrash the hell out of the other team. There are very rarely close-call games. I did a lot of hat KoToR, where the PvP was part of the dailies, and that was often the case. "Shaq vs Urkle", I tried to joke about it. Total decimation, kinda made everything feel more like a chore then anything close to fun.
Because getting into an arguement with a 12 year old with the brain capacity of a walnut isn't exactly something alot of people find particularly fun(or in some cases a 20+ year old with the brain capacity of a walnut)

also cheaters..

people who take the game way to seriously..

i could name a ton of other reasons but i'd be here all day naming them.

Depends on games. I personally hate campers and spawn shooters. But that's kinda the game fault to allow it.
Lack of sportsmanship and a general dislike of the attitudes to be found.

It is important to consider that many people prefer to play videogames as relaxation and PvP can be stressful for people with social anxiety or a condition.
1) I play games to have fun, not to compete against others
2) Those games are usually very toxic
3) There's way too many of them
4) It's usually a d*ck measuring contest. I don't need a game to feel secure about myself :goggles:
For me it's because I want to be the hero. I want the spotlight on me and not whomever gets the nr 1 ranking. In multiplayer games there are thousands of number one players and it just feel so lifeless to me.

I don't have the time to read up on character builds, strategies and teamwork. I can't handle the cheaters nor the young ( 20 year olds ) reaction speeds. Also, I find it funny when people are calling people 12 year olds as I could say the same for 20 year olds, they are young aswell. :P

In the end: It's to brutal and strange for me, I just want to sit down, coffee in my hand and play something and just wash away into the world of whatever game I'm playing.
Messaggio originale di Lieutenant Tea™:
a) People end up getting super competitive and in the end the community ends up super toxic (a prime example is CSGO)
b) Some people just don't like to fight other people in video games
c) Some people would rather play Co-Op rather than PVP

So really it all comes down to the communities being ultra toxic and people simply not liking PVP games.

Mhm. I used to be very competitive in fps but now I'd much rather do co-op. I just can't stand the amount of toxic behavior coming from so many people. It's not that I'm super bad at shooting or aiming. I'm usually at or near the top of score boards with co-op games like CoD zombies. The pvp experience for me is incredibly immature and just not pleasant half the time. Plus I like a game with a story and most competitive games don't have one.
Maybe people complain alot because the game is bad but the reality is that they suck at it hence they look for another excuse to blame the community and devs. For some other reason either is that in competitive matches, they don't take things fair when it comes to teamwork and they'll be consider as deadweight or helpful with the match.
I don't really hate the PvP game genre, sometimes I just feel like it's an easy way to get people to do the same repetitive things over and over without second guessing them. I used to be really into PvP running around in free for all matches, but now I have lost all interest in free for all player vs player games, I can still play team based PvP, but it has to mean something to play them I want to feel like it's really the people you're playing alongside with that garantees your victory, without real teamwork in a game like that I just lose interest quickly.

I also won't play any PvP games if most of the community is full of sour apples that want to blame failing on everything but themselves. Which is most popular online games in a nutshell.

generally people hate PVP because they're trash at it, and would rather call the game bad than actually try to improve at it
PvP games attract a certain audience, and it's not always the type of people someone may want to play with. PvP also gets people's emotions up, so even otherwise friendly folks can lose it and start hurling abuse at their team mates, report them, etc.

And then there are gamers who don't care for the competitive element as it tends to be stressful and confrontational, so the opposite of recreational. There is a requirement to play a LOT, and put in a lot of effort and energy, to get decent at PvP, which isn't something everyone is willing to do. Some people already live competitive lives, they don't look for the same in their decompression time.
