Math is useless.
Specifically, any form of multiplication. As you may know, it's impossible to create something from nothing, and therefore math isn't useful in any real life scenario. Why do they even teach it in schools?

I'm just trying to figure out whether or not you finished highschool and got a GED.

I don't like math (I still use my fingers to add sometimes even at 43 years old), but I play Dungeons and Dragons/Pathfinder a lot. Go try to play that without math. You can't.

Math has an application.

For example; if you want to construct a building, you have to calculate whether a material doesn't break under a certain amount of pressure, or people inside may die. Many people need mathematics for that.

I fear that the topic you posted, isn't well thought through. If you can do everything without math, that doesn't mean everyone else has the same amount of experience to do that.

You don't need mathematics to determine the strength of a material.

I'm not exactly sure where you are from, but I disagree. You have to quantify certain beliefs, when working responsibly. You can't take everything on faith. It doesn't work like that in this society. Investors need proof to be held accountable for their investments.

You want to sleep in a building in which the roof doesn't collapse on your head, right? And you want to be certain of that.

That's why we need math.

Mathematics can be miscalculated. You can never miscalculate dropping heavy objects on something to determine it's strength!

Only if you half-ass it.

Then you should have asked that rather than my age.

Humans are prone to making mistakes. Math isn't a risk worth taking.

I'm sure there's someone building a house that needs to know how long boards need to be, how high the opening for the window in the wall needs to be from the floor, how much load the boards need to hold in order to keep the house from falling down (load-bearing walls), laughing at this post.

I'm sure there's an electrician that needs to know how much power is flowing through each wire in the house and therefore how many different circuits the house will need is reading this post and is laughing his head off.

I'm sure there's a rocket scientist designing a space probe going to land on Mars that is using Math way beyond anything you could imagine (Triganometry), laughing at this post.

I'm sure there are engineers that use Math to design bridges that'll actually support vehicles much heavier than your car, laughing at this post.

I do hope you were posting in jest.

If there's a miscalculation, then it's your fault. It's your mistake, not the system's.

Also, again; pseudo-science.

1. They can just use their eyes or a tape measuring tool for that.

2. You don't need to know how much power is flowing through each wire, just try to maximize it for the best efficiency

3. Triganowhat? Don't make up words please.

4. Just make it thick and with a strong material.

As I said, humans are prone to making mistakes. It's safer for all of us to just not use math.

I'd have to ask how old you were when you got it, anyways.
