so i'd go for the person that I cared about on that boat the most
And if you can only rescue one of those then the senior citizens that have 15 grandchildren with them that's a no brainer.
Captain - same as above, probably has enough training to be a help.
Nurse - obvious reasons.
Recently married - young, helpful.
Elem. School Teacher - probably younger-ish, in my experience usually are and can help calm kids down once they're up.
13 year olds - old enough to be somewhat helpful and probably not too difficult to save
Pregnant woman - eh why not
Seniors and grand kids - these would be a pain to try and all save without having as many people as possible on hand to help.
Just kidding. Assuming I am the only one capable of saving them other than using their own abilities, I'd try and save those who needed help the most at that time. For instance, the lifeguard will definitely not need my help, not should the captain. I would first save the pregnant woman (as most others would) and then the senior citizen with their grandchildren. I'd then save the twins and the teacher, saving the married couple and the nurse for last.
if were going by fitness in terms of biology:
-the younger people go first
-you can save one twin the other can drown doesn't matter it's basically the same person
-pregger woman you save 2 people
-lifeguard=why the hell would he need saving unless you wanna get him out quickly to help you save others make your job of saving people easier
-nurse can help treat the people you bring out inc. their survival costs
-children get priority since they can't really survive too long
-elderly citizens are basically the same but older lol
-i actually see no reason to save the married couple since if you save one theres a higher risk the other dying before you could save them
-same with the captain they usually go down with the ship (although it's a dumb tradition but at least have them stay on there the longest it's like some sort of honor code or something)
-don't really see the benefit of saving the elementary school teacher
A child's life is the most important
A veteran nurse
lifeguard
elementary school teacher
13 year old twins
a pregnant woman
recently married couple
senior citizens with 15 grand children
The captain, nurse and lifeguard are the ones that could provide any help in case there are any issues. The captain probably has experience with navigation, the nurse could help with first aid and the lifeguard could help stragglers out at sea. All the others fall into the same category as regular civilians.
I value usefulness over morality.
