You are on a boat who do you save
I love ethics and philosophy so here's an ethical dilema, in what order would u save these people if you were on a sinking ship and why

The captain
A veteran nurse
13 year old twins
a pregnant woman
lifeguard
recently married couple
elementary school teacher
senior citizens with 15 grand children

This is all the information we have about them, Add me for fun life questionging chats!

The pregnant woman
The 13 year old twins
The recently married couple
The senior citizen with 15 grandchildren
The elementary school teacher
The veteran nurse
The lifeguard
The captain

Save the people who are least able to save themselves first. Then the couple since they can still live a long life together. Then gramps. The rest are just who is less capable of survival.

Captain goes last because the ship is his responsibility.

teacher

pregnant woman because she's carrying a baby, and captain because he could MAYBE help people out with directions in the ship, elderly because they're old, and the nurse because she could help the pregnant woman and the old people if the ♥♥♥♥ went down

the others don't matter as much

self preservation is the most important thing in life. it's instinct. OP wanted a psychological experiment, people would prefer to save them self in most cases because of self preservation.

had some guy the other day saying he'd let two groups of people die and he would sleep perfectly fine

meh... these ethical questions are dumb.. you never know what you would do until actually confronted with the dilemma for "real"...
and once you are if you aren't concerned for self preservation, something's wrong.
