I wish I still had that, probably be worth a fortune now days if I had kept it and kept in great shape,,,,, or I'd of died of lead poisoning since so many toys back then were frickin' toxic as hell.
Speaking of toxic
First time I ever heard the term "recall" was my Voltron lions were being recalled for lead paint. I had the diecast metal ones, each individual one was heavy, but combined the damn thing probably weighed 10 lbs. (probably exagerating a bit, I was kid then)
No, this was prior to the 1985,, lemme see if I can find a pic on google of it.
Can't find it, maybe it was a knockoff. It sorta looked like the Shogun warriors version but the hands didn't come off.
Yeah I use to have the v1 plastic Mecha Godzilla back in the late 80's early 90's. I still have no idea where it went. It just went missing one day. In the mid 90's I also use to have the Godzilla micro playset. You know the one that was Godzilla's head, and it would open up to become a mini city inside with mini figures for the monsters. It was exactly like the old Mighty Max playsets.
I actually found it here: https://www.amazon.com/Godzilla-Micro-Battle-Playset-Towers/dp/B004A6DR6Y I use to have that one, and this one: https://www.amazon.com/Vintage-Godzilla-Playset-Angeles-Hollywood/dp/B004A67TMC
Yeah too bad I was the only kid in my school that actually liked Godzilla back in the 90's.
EDIT: Found the Mecha Godzilla figure I had it was part of the 1983 Bandai toy line. https://www.amazon.com/Bandai-Godzilla-Highly-Detailed-Collectible/dp/B00866UPQY
Yeah I wish I still had them as well as Super Godzilla for the SNES. I know many people didn't like the game, but it was so easy to exploit the enemy monster AI. All you had to do was hold down on the D-pad to defend, and alternate that with moving forward. The enemy monsters would almost never attack you. The only time you would take damage was if the enemy monster was already in an attack animation right before you defend again after moving. Heck in the final battle if you take the wait for Super X path you can just wait out the timer by holding down defend the entire time. The final boss will never attack you when doing this.
Okay legitimately now actually super excited to see this movie.
