Do you think SHAZAM! movie will flop?
Looks like a sequel version of Kick-Ass. Doesn't look interesting but I know about him before.

If I had to bet what from coming DC movies would not be disaster then it's probably Aquaman.
Aquaman was pretty much only thing decent from Justice League.
Plus all the girls and bored housewives will storm to drool over Jason Momoa anyway so box office flop is not likely. :steammocking:

I mean look at the fuxckin shazam trailer? So cringy and not funny at all (u can see they're trying to make it funny) and i almost wanna kms when they showed shazam doing the backpack kid
He's a kid, of course he's going to act like one. :rfacepalm:
I might see it, but I won't waste money to see it in theaters. The only reason I will go see it is because I'm fairly certain that the actor who plays Shazam is the same actor who played Chuck Bartowski in the TV series Chuck.

And the same actor that casted from Alvin and the Chipmunks.
I've never heard of Shazam. I picture a Dave Chapelle skit

he is Superman if Superman had brain of a 12 year old kid. Is name is actually Captain Marvel and he says Shazam and lightning comes down from the sky and he gets magic powers from Solomon or something. My DC knowledge is actually fairly Limited.

A movie that makes millions of dollars is not a failure!!

How much money a movie makes does not make it a success or a failure. Quality of production and content does.
preaching to the choir my friend. The Transformers movies have made what nearly 5 billion dollars combined and while they were financially well received they are some of the worst cinematic garbage the world has ever seen. I mean that last Transformers movie made a billion dollars pretty much right off the bat and it was so bad that it killed the franchise. I don't think that movie was a success.

As with any DC production, it'll have glittering special effects and a lifeless story. It'll achieve amazing box office numbers, but disappoint both critics and fans.

This is what happens when board members create movies. You get a movie that generates revenue very efficiently, but which nobody would want to watch.

Because the Transformers are horrible films. They might have a quality in the production but the content is of rather poor quality. It only proves my point that box office returns doesn't make a movie good or bad.
The first Transformers movie was still passable, albeit with crass frat humor. Then it went progressively downhill. Like in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, really? “I am under the enemy’s scrotum”? What kind of adult wrote that line and thought it would be good?
I feel Shazam has a chance some reason. I did not watch a trailer of it but I saw a picture of it and it gives me a feeling it may be good.

You should see the trailer first because appearances may deceive you.

Seems to remind me of those old parody movies such as Epic Movie, and so on.

And someone that grew up with the Transformers and who absolutely loved 1984 animated movie even though it was kind of horrifying for a small channel to watch I had absolutely High Hope once I heard Optimus Prime was going to be playing Optimus Prime period and for a while the movies actually really good at least the first one. And then bumblebee pees on John Turturro. And I felt a little part of myself die. Although semantically it does have one of the most strangely Epic moments in film history where apparently I discovered that you can do a bootlegger turn in a semi truck.

The scene in question starts at about 4 minutes and 20 seconds since I can't do timestamp links. And it known point do you not suddenly feel like everything is about to become incredibly Epic. Now don't get me wrong I don't think Michael Bay is a particularly talented director, but he is actually really good at doing epic. It's probably the one thing he's honestly really really good. Other filmmakers actually comment on his particular shooting style as being unique and that they study it because it's really really good. I mean if you really get down to it he's made two of the best buddy cop films in the history of ever went bad boys and Bad Boys 2 and they are both brilliantly shot nonsense. Much like Zack Snyder I think that Michael Bay would be way better utilized as doing the cinematography for film as opposed to directing the important bits, unfortunately the dude is possibly one of the most successful modern directors because he keeps bringing in huge stacks of cash I mean if you were to compare him and James Cameron they're not that distant when it comes to racking up the dollars for a studio except that Michael Bay keeps making movies and James Cameron does whatever it is James Cameron does like go to the bottom of the ocean. Isn't that a disappointing thought. A man that has literally been responsible for the best movies in several franchises and has literally destroyed the box office every time he goes to bat is actually considered as successfully on par as one of Hollywood's most reviled directors.
I won't say it's a flop. It looks pretty fun and interesting (Definitely looks better than the Titans series) but I will admit that I'm not too hyped for this movie and Aquaman. Honestly, I will wait for the reviews for these movies and see. I don't want to fall for another crappy DC movies again. Yeah, I'm looking at you, Justice League.
