How much food can I buy with 50 cents?

See, my stupid wife just ran away to Delaware (I live in Mississippi) with all my money. Thing is, there's litterally nothing left to eat in the kitchen rn because she took all the food with her as well. I did find 50 cents under the table, but I am not getting my paycheck until next Thursday. So with 50 cents, how much food can I buy that will keep me going for at least 3 days? I do make a lot of money, so in 3 days it wont be a problem, but until then, I need help to find what I can buy with that much money. Thanks.

Borrowing a very minor sum is a pretty good solution. Could always ask one of your co-workers; a $20 loan makes for a very simple favor, and you can easily come up with an excuse involving public transport fees.

Beyond that, live off fast food, instant noodles, mineral water and bread.

Rice and/or flour it is. If there's at least a grocery store around, you should be good.

If even that's not possible, try living off tree leaves and barks. Furthest thing from sanitary, but tried and true in desperate situations.
