I live in a very rural area. No need for guns for criminals, or so I thought.

We have wild-life like mountain lions, rattlesnakes, bears, wild boars and wolves were just reintroduced into the area.

Although we did have one time when the police raided a large illegal grow in the area. Illegal immigrants were tending the farm and they shot a deputy and shot at everyone else. They had automatic weapons and fled the cops. Incidentally they escaped down the creek that runs behind the house.

We never saw a peep of them, but heck how bad of a situation could that of been, especially in an area where you wouldn't think that type of stuff happens.

I don't feel like quoting all of my recent posts in their entirety. I'm not responsible for your ability to read.

I guess I need to explain this again. First person shooters (both singleplayer and multiplayer) are inherently going to involve frequently pitting you against armed enemies the obvious and best way to progress or win is to shoot them. Real life is not a video game. Self defense situations do occur in real life, but your argument breaks down for anyone who is simply privileged enough to live in a nice neighborhood.

It kind of worries me that we have this many people who keep tripping up over the fact that the first person video game challenge is...a....video game challenge....not real life. But it's designed to teach you folks that when it comes to self-defense you at least want to be as equally armed as the bad guy.

I don't have much experience with handguns, rifles would require you to aim better and an ambushing mountain lion you might just not have time. Probably a good shot-gun.

Doesn't require good aim. Just point in the general direction of whatever you want to disappear and pull the trigger.

No, that would be them. They're acting as if a scenario in a video game is being confused with real life. It's a pathetic attempt to make it seem like I'm unbalanced but I'm simply using their entertainment to show that they don't really believe in the real life gun laws that they pretend to. That they know deep-down that the NPC's/Bad Guys aren't going to care for their reason for being disarmed only that they are disarmed.
