Last console i bought was Sega Dreamcast in 1998. Maybe PS5 Pro?
I maybe going for Playstation 5 Pro still have do some more reseach on consoles how it all works these days.

Why you wonder when PC gamer for 20 years, well buying console is because of my 4K TV and some exclusives which won't reach PC probably never.

Seems decent specs:

PlayStation 5 specs and details:

Custom SoC with second-gen Navi GPU, Zen 2 CPU
8-Core, 16-thread Zen 2 CPU at 3.2GHz
Navi GPU at 2.0GHz with 36 Compute Units
Navi, Zen SoC uses new AMD RDNA 2.0 architecture
Ultra-fast SSD(5000mb fast SSD?)
Support for 4K 120 Hz TVs
Ray-tracing enabled
8K output support (for gaming)
Plays all PS4 games
Separate games that ship on BD-XL Blu-ray discs
New controller with extensive haptic and tactile feedback

Seems PS Pro is 12T-flops.

Have do a lot more research first i don't have absolutely no clue how consoles these days work with always internet and paying per month(year?)

I'm definitely getting a Playstation 5. I'm actually going back to consoles for modern games and keeping PC for older ones. I'm tired of the broken ports for PC. Mortal Kombat 11 of course was laggy as hell cause Warner Bros absolutely loathes PC. So that game was wasted money. Not to mention the launchers and Epic taking games away from Steam constantly, it's annoying.

I'm about to work overtime at the factory to grab an Xbox One Slim that is 1 TB and a good number of exclusive for it. I've been playing Gears 5 and it is yet another subpar port. Its nowhere near as bad as Gears of War 4 was, but it is laggy in areas and actually crashed one time. By default with my rig, I could run it at Medium settings, but I had to put it on Low cause of the glitchy and bad fps. Even then on Low, it can be really bad in areas and the graphics would look better on Xbox One lmao. What is the point ?

I just picked up a Ps4 not long ago and immediately noticed that Dead Rising 2 Remastered looked better on it cause Capcom released half hearted ports to PC as usual. Hell, Dead Rising 4 on PC was a trainwreck.

Anyway, yes you do have to pay for online, but it isn't mandatory if you don't care about online gaming. I'm about to pay $60 for a year of Playstation Now cause I can play Ps2 and Ps3 games through streaming. I have no interest in Xbox Live:Pro or Playstation Plus.

The Xbox One X is actually the most powerful console to date with the Ps4 Pro being second to it. I find the Xbox Slim and Ps4 Slim to be good enough though. I definitely prefer Playstation this gen cause I preferred Xbox last gen cause I was into online gaming then.

Well i won't abandon PC ever at moment on the verge of building a new PC that cost 5 times a PS5 PRO because there are games you just can't play on console specially when it comes to MODS.

Still games that better play on consoles like side scrolling games or platform games maybe nice having a good console also.

I'm not going to abandon PC, but I'm only going to use it for 360 and Ps3 games. I'm unhappy with the PC climate. I'm tired of bad ports constantly and tired of waiting for games for a long time. I don't even care about mods either. To each his own.

I don't plan on picking up a Ps5 or an Xbox Scorpio anytime soon. I just got the Ps4 Slim a few weeks ago with a ton of games and I hope to pick up an Xbox One Slim soon and a handful of exclusives. Mainly so I can property play Gears 4 and 5. I also like how I can get Gears 4 for cheap now and the sealed version includes the codes for Gears of War 1-Judgment on 360. I also really want to play Halo 5 too as that one is exclusively on One.

Seems like it, with super fast SSD a very good modern CPU 8 core 16 threads and a decent NAVI GPU then 500$ is not that bad.
Stick with the Dreamcast. Best console ever.

The Dreamcast was way ahead for its time. Still love that console and still play it today. Even got a sealed one which I bought when they started to discontinue them for when my old one stopped working lol

While you can pay a monthly subscription direct to Sony, no sensible person really does that.

Every Prime Day or Black Friday, you can buy a discounted one year PS+ code. Usually for between 30 and 40 euros. What's more, the codes stack so you can pay several years in advance at the discounted rate.

My PS+ subscription won't expire until 2028 because I always buy 2-3 years in advance when there is a sale.

A significant chunk of PS users don't even buy PS+ for the online functionality but the 'free' games it gets you every month. I was subscribed for years before it was even required for online play.
Thanks for the info when the PS5 pro comes i'll probably know enough:)

I don't know about you, but those Specs look fishy to me...
I know Sony tries to use Custom Chips, & such...

Here is what sounds fishy to me?

8-Core, 16-thread Zen 2 CPU at 3.2GHz
Looks way too under powered for handling 8K...

Even my 4K Smart TV has an 8 Core CPU built in as it is,
& it doesn't even go beyond 60FPS at 4K...

There is also the fact that, my PC already does 4.0 Ghz,
but your saying the PS5 has 3.2 Ghz...

Lastly, 12 T-Flops is only 2ce the X-Box One X in performance...
The X-Box One X may have been able to handle 60 FPS,
but it wasn't every Game, or maybe it was, I dunno... But
some were saying that it still was not enough for 4K... If
that is true, then that means that PS5 will barely, barely reach
60FPS at 8K... & it won't be as fast as people think it will be...

I don't know, I have not done tests my self... But...

I am looking at a Radeon VII with 8K 16GB VRAM right now,
& a 32 to 64 Core CPU & 32 to 64 DDR4 RAM...

With an M2 Drive for Caching instead of an SSD...

for my Next PC... o_@

Mind you, Navi & Radeon VII GPU's both barely even do 8K at all...
However, who knows? Maybe Sony has a secret weapon up their
sleeves that could pose as jaw dropping results... We will have to see
when the PS5 launches...
I dunno how it works where you live, but in my country PS games are anywhere from 50 to 100% more expensive than their steam versions.

No way in hell am i signing up for that console.
