Youtube vs Dailymotion, My Views.
I thought i would make this post to inform the public which is the best video site to use. Just in case people were curious, i will be posting the pros and cons and short review. Now if you are curious to which site i use. I use YouTube only to watch "a few videos from 4 different channels". But i use Dailymotion for watching videos, uploading videos, promotion, etc. I use to use YouTube back in 2005 along with Dailymotion, but i stopped using YouTube back in i think 2012 when the site went downhill as for changing their older design, removing groups, etc.

YouTube Pros: Night-mode, Comments are enable, Thumb's up feature, Categories to browse, main explore page shows what you're being browsing or search which makes finding videos that you or interested in easier. Search engine filters ( which is very important ), able to see who is sub too you, communication between users, 4k + Higher videos support and viewing, right side old school vertical layout for viewing related videos, large unload limit, able to upload a custom logo for your videos, popular site.

YouTube Cons: The worse uploading design GUI Menu layout i ever seen, that studio mess is slow and sluggish. The user channel layout is awful looking and very outdated, the front page looks outdated, comments can sometimes be nasty, uploading videos is not as fast as it should or compared to Dailymotion. Forced to use a phone number and sign up to a google account to be able to use the site, very strict copyright system, even if you have permission to upload music or movie clips or TV shows (which i do by some companies/producers, music artists) it still gets flag or blocked. Copyright system in general is too strict, lots of fake videos floating around (example, GTA 6 is not out yet, so for the guy who keeps putting it in his title misleading to get views).

YouTube Bottom line: A great site, but too outdated looking, with a strict copyright system and slow and sluggish uploading GUI Menu Layout.
...............................................

Dailymotion Pros: Very beautiful updated sleek front page layout, Beautiful Sleek updated Channel page, Clean interface, Good Library layout, able to use the site without using a phone number and google nonsense, faster uploading system compared to YouTube, simple to use , good selection of video content, good copyright system, videos barely get taken down, real live support system, able to use the Trademark Symbol next to your name. Cool video player interface layout, easier to become a verified partner, nice channel design, able to upload a custom logo for your videos.

Dailymotion Cons: Comments has been removed, no form of communication between users, 2GB upload limit (if you're not a verified partner,) no thumbs up feature ( just a heart like feature ). Search engine is just terrible, there's no filter options, no night mode, the explore page is too limited with no gaming or tech section, left side menu category menu was removed.

Bottom line: Both sides are great, but if you want a more popular site, with slightly more features, larger upload limit, night mode, etc, but with a outdated design and strict copyright system, YouTube is the place to be. If you want more freedom, less hassle of signing up and a better design , Dailymotion is the best place.

I recommend Dailymotion over Youtube for the simple fact:
*More freedom, better design, more updated layout , cleaner interface, faster uploading system, less copyright issues, able to use any name with a trademark logo, able to get verified easier. Or you could use both which some users do. Anyways, whatever site you use, enjoy, just thought i would share my views.

Note: Dailymotion even though i recommend it over YT, its a shame that they site doesn't have comments or filter for their search engine( even though they are suppose to be adding this and more features soon ) and their upload limit is 2GB which is just stupid unless you're a verified user, which takes some. Honestly the only reason why i don't use YT is two reasons, the entire site looks ugly and the copyright system is just too damn strict.

peace.
