Unless you were both minors in a relationship before one turned 18 which if anything could trigger the romeo-juliette clause, which i think is seldom used,But if its one of those still not the best idea to do Lewd Stuff tell you're both 18 if in say the US or a equavlant age country.

On topic, I think dating is fine. Sex is another story based on country's laws. I don't think it's weird for a date. When I was 16, most of my friends were women and older.

The legal age is 16 in New Zealand.

Most places is 18. In some other places it's 14, the youngest is 12 and a countries oldest legal age is 21.

Can you imagine waiting till your 21? I think 18 is stupid enough. Maturity != Age anyways. You can have some seriously dumb adults who shouldn't even be attempting to reproduce. They should make it like a drivers or firearms license you have to get. Haha, even then it would be a total failure.

I don't really care, I think 3 Years apart max should be
good enough between the two, & if your between 16 & 18,
you should both agree to it, & it should not be decided between only
1 individual... A Joint decision... But here is the thing...

When you are under age, people tend to take advantage of
the idea, both ways...

Either the younger purposely get the other in trouble for personal gain,
or they purposely abuse this by taking advantage of the younger...

It is why it is in most cases, best to avoid dating under age people...
because you don't know what kind of person you are dating, a more
mature serious relationship, or one where they are a bit nutty, or
it could just be that your the nutty one, & they are not...

Nah, that's not that weird. 21 and 16 year old, now that's weird. Those are 2 totally different life stages imo. A 21 year old should either be in college or exploring career opportunities. A 16 year old would be only concerned with high school still and maybe getting their driver's license. Stuff that a 21 year old wouldn't be worrying about hopefully.
