Why do people judge for wearing a watch
I'm in college and wear watches I have 3 ranging from 150$-460$ nothing too pricy or luxury, I get compliments on them all the time but then after that they ask what's the point of even wearing watches or why would you spend so much on a watch that you have in your pocket on your phone? Like wtf I don't get it do people not know that watches are more than a time piece to they are like a nice braclet or ring necklace ect it's jewlery, it must be cause no one under the age of 30 wears watches or respects them anymore idk I find that strange

It’s the new generation attitude why carry a watch on you when you could just whip out your Samsung or iPhone etc. I prefer a iPhone clock over a actual watch but I don’t judge people who still use watches. Also boomer memes

Maybe they're jealous because they don't understand analogue time

Fashionable people wear watches. Functional people don't see it's purpose but don't follow fashion trends.

I remember the first day of university where I wore a Rado and a student whom I never met before grabbed my arm, put it to his face and stared at it. I just pulled back startled, the guy realised what he did and looked shocked whilst walking away. That was a "what the heck?" moment. I was studying design at the time.

I like wearing a watch. Yes, I can use my phone to check the time, but I generally don't like having to pull out my phone from my pocket just to check the time. I like having the ability to read the time at the flick of a wrist.

Also, my watches in the past have never costed more than $100. I wear them for their utility, not because I have something to show off (I often don't).

I wear my uncle's watch, in his memory.
Also to tell time, since I don't have a cell phone.
And people judge for wearing a watch?:steammocking:

For most men it's the only piece of jewellery they'll ever own. Mechanical watches are things of beauty. And good ones make great heirlooms.

Wearing watch when you're not interested in time -- sounds stupid.
Wearing watch as jewelry instead of actual jewelry -- sounds questionable.

Those already ground for judgement on sanity.

Wearing expensive watch without sensible reason leads thinking it's show off or compensation or something alike. Ground for more judgement.

Being surprised about it leads even more ahead.

From a different perspective, some people just wear watch or other stuff because that is the way they like it. And don't give a flying ♥♥♥♥ about what other people think. What is IMHO a solid approach.
Oh you wear a watch dude

Totally agree on this.
