"The game will not be available on Steam the first year because Quantic Dream negotiated a one-year exclusivity deal with Epic Games to release it on Epic Games Store exclusively."
After the one-year exclusivity is up on the Epic Store I guess.
Isn't Epic only allowed a 1 year exclusive. I'll stand corrected if that's not possible
thanks much. Epic is as bad if not worse then Bugthesda
Save you guys the guessing.
They just added refunds, Steam-style. Less than 2 weeks and under 2 hours play and you get a refund.
That's more than EA can say. With EA's Origin store, if you install it, no refund for any reason whatsoever. Which is why EA is worse than Epic, now.
Ubisoft has refunds too, but I don't know their policy. I know I've gotten one after install and trying out a game.
I was quite surprised to see Epic do something good for a change. Not that I've ever purchased a single game from them, but it's nice that they did.
They didn't even have refunds until now?! Christ...
And yeah, Origin/EA is just as bad, not exactly a high bar to surpass.
By the time this game comes to steam (it will still be full price) I will be busy with many other games. To name a few.
CK3, VTMB2, CP2077, BG3
That is just a few, then imagine all the other new games that come, I mean I also look out for EoS etc. The day they picked exclusiveness, is the day I most likely forgot about it (if I knew about it in advance, I don't always do) not to say, skip it.
Look at that new Metro game and TOW, I did not buy any of those and tbh, I am happy that I did not, if they had been on steam, I might have bought one, because of you know, the ease and it being on the platform I use the most. Instead I found out, I can do just fine without.
Exclusiveness, only works if the game is so good that customers will do anything for them and tbh, most games are not, atleast not for me.
Sweeney also said, they might get shopping carts in 2025
On a more serious note (also about Sweeney)
He said that when they begin to add more features like steam, they will take a higher cut, because you can't do what steam does in their current cut... They are merely trying to get people to migrate with the
