Zelda breath of the wild is overrated and kinda blows
I don't see why people say it's good. Maybe cause their on nitendo and have never seen a good game?

It's better than the witcher. But I did prefer previous Zeldas.

Low-effort bait. Just look at his post history.
breath of the wild just copied the open world Assassin's creed formula.
climb tower and uncover maps. but it has some extra puzzle rooms and fictional story with big big monsters.

Not to derail the thread, but is the game worth it for a new Switch owner? How's the performance and all on it? Is the Open World good? What about gameplay?

Yet there isn't that much content. There's nice vistas that keep going for miles with nothing to do. Occasional secrets peppered here and there, usually consisting of rusty chests containing generic items. Games like OoT and Majora's Mask were a lot tighter and had way more in terms of interesting stories. Even Twilight Princess was better.

I don't know why people make a big deal of the open world thing either. Zelda games have always been at least semi-open world. BotW isn't particularly impressive, just more aimless.

Not to mention biomes and dungeons. BotW has what, 6 pointless biomes? The generic wilderness, the zora lake (which is useless), the volcano, the snowy mountain, the forest (which lasts you 15 minutes) and the desert. And all the dungeons look and play exactly the same way. That's not impressive for a Zelda game.

Better than the Witcher? If you mean the third installment than I disagree. I have synced well over 300+ hours on BoTW and I enjoyed the game's story, map and gameplay. BoTW is a lackluster compared to The Witcher 3 IMHO.

Whenever I hear someone call a game overrated, that indicates to me that it must be real good. BOTW is already the top title on my Switch wishlist, so this is just further encouragement to play it.

Thanks.

Definitely, but i played it on wiiu. The only thing i hate abt it is the wpn durability. It breaks too easily, to the point i feel like it's just a busywork.

Definitely feels very different from other zelda games, but that doesnt change the fact that it's a very entertaining game (and beautiful too).

Now if only we get a pc port :steammocking:

Witcher 3 has a lot of things going for it but the world's culture is super cringe. It's a subgenre of grimdark fantasy I can't stand. Kind of like game of thrones. Gratuitous violence + lewd commentary and sex. The writers should choose between grit and high school drama, the two together is ridiculous imo.

I wouldn't give it a PC port if I was Nintendo, all these immature sheep crying and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the game just because it's not on Steam, seriously if it was on PC I bet everyone would say it's the best Zelda game ever because of the higher fps despite the actual game being the same, and some noob would make cringe workshop content for it and become a meme sensation overnight, some people need to get an education instead of trying to compare a Zelda game from 1998 to a game from 2017 since gaming has changed a lot... and expectations are greater, too many people just criticise games because they aren't what they like, instead of praising the actual content and what the game delivers :lunar2019deadpanpig:

Witcher's grim dark fantasy and sexual themes that is exactly why Witcher 3 is so much popular and best selling game of the decade. Same goes to Game of thrones.
