I could not care less about those features. It's a store, not a social media network. If it was a social media network forced upon me, I wouldn't shop there. Kind of like how I stopped shopping here.
it might sound bit negy but why would one care about where you "friends" is online or tracking achievements
If your into that sort of thing and want to be able to chat no matter the platform.
I currently have no friends on GOG so that is not an issue for me lol.
A shame Steam has so badly declined over the last 15 years.
I joined Steam in 2009 right when it seems Steam was hitting it's high point of innovation of sale events and. It feels like in the recent years the sale events have become stagnant.
As a community experience its certainly different, theres less toxicity, the reviews are better and I like the community suggestions for features and games because it feels more likely to be actioned, theres connection with the community. Steam I wouldnt say I feel that.
Or you can just launch from the individual launcher and not bother with Galaxy at all. Galaxy is useful if you have a very large collection that can be cumbersome to manage, but I don't think it's very useful for someone who might have 30 games on Steam and maybe The Division 2 on Uplay.
