Games they put play or games parents should make 10 year olds play. It all completely depends on the maturity level of the child. as a baseline I would try to keep anyting superb island away from them but give them a fair introduction to various game genres.

So 10 games parents should have their children play. In no particular ranking.

Minecraft
Fancy skulls
Cat goes fishing
Spooky's House of jump-scares
The Sims
Final fantasy legends
Portal
Gunpoint
Tetris
P.A.M

3 and World are the pinnacle of the franchise that nothing has come close to topping yet. Maybe Mario Kart 64 and Mario Kart DS, but nothing else. Mario 64 is horrifically overrated. The DS version was better, but still sub-par (even when you hack or emulate it to use proper controls)

I'll agree that 3 + world were excellent games. I played them religiously. New super Mario world was actually really good, and if you like a little spice in your Mario diet, the paper Mario games, and super Mario RPG were super excellent. Smrpg is probably one of my favorite Mario games. After 3 and world.

Legend of the 7 Stars is a classic. But it's non-canon, same as Yoshi's Island. Snifits and Shyguys are native to Subcon. They shouldn't show up in the Mushroom Kingdom.

Unless the MK has really lax immigration laws. Build a wall to keep the dream-rapists and murderers out!
