What do you guys consider a pc game and what a console game?
If a game gets released on both platforms for example red dead redemption people still say it’s a console game.Probably because it was first released on console and it’s basically just a port.Do you guys consider jrpgs as typically console games? Are shooters/strategy games more a pc direction?Lg

i consider a game that was released on PC to be a PC game and i consider a game that was released on console to be a console game.

Sounds right enough to me. If it was meant for console and acts weird on PC then it can't be translated well to PC if the porting is disgustingly lazy.

Depends on how long the game takes to reach the other platform. So if a longtime PC game finally makes it to console, I'll see it still as a PC game. If it's a short period between PC and console release, I just see it as a game that is available for PC and console.

I'd agree with the porting. Sometimes its very obvious a game was made for a platform.

Games that play badly on keyboard and you just feel they were made for a gamepad like resident evil 4 for example.

It's a complicated question because it depends on the game's development. Skyrim for example was developed on Xbox 360, then ported to PC. Many people on PC abhorred the default UI with keyboard/mouse. Some of us just used a gamepad and it was fine.
If it’s on PC it’s a PC game. If it’s on console it’s a console game. If it’s on both then it’s both. It’s entirely normal for things to fit in more than one descriptive category.

Pc game = when you can alter the graphics settings like you want. Don't want blur? Turn if off. Don't want DoF? Turn it off. etc etc.
