well I just found this
https://store.steampowered.com/app/648070/CrisisActionVR/

I saw another game that went for like 200€ or more but I don't remember its name.

But if we go by total cost of game + all DLCs, then it's probably one of those Train Simulator games, as mentioned above

Are you being patronising or am I just interpreting it that way as I'm not well?

It was something called "Bible test". It costed $200, and it was just a quiz about the bible. I also remember that the game was 99% off most of the time. I can't find the game now, so Steam probably deleted it.

Simulator games. For example, if you buy all the modules for DCS World Steam Edition, it currently comes down to around 2150 USD.

^This. If we count all DLC.

But if you want to talk about the most expensive game in existence. It's probably the Sims 3 with all the Sims store content and packs, which amounts to around $7,000.

This way games like CSGO or Dota 2 lead the charge

Oh yeah, kind of forgot about those. But that would be more if counting stuff like player trading and purchases. I don't know much about all that since I don't play either of those games though.

But I know that EA is legitimately selling microtransactions for the Sims 3 that amounts to around $7,000. at least there are other ways to get the content though, but I'm not looking to get banned today
