While PARTS of my headphones tend to break more often than they ought, for me it's because my head is *really small*? Like I'm a 50 year old woman with a head that can easily fit child-sized caps. :/ So they tend to have to be scrunched onto me a little weird. So taking them on and off will mean the plastic bits for the ears connecting and sliding into the head band get wrenched around a little more than they should.
But that's just me, otherwise they have been just fine. Take better care of them? Buy quality goods? Good headphones usually start around 35-50 bucks, but do your research if you want them to last.
audio brands like beyerdynamic, sennheiser, sony tend to break less, a lot less
people have kept their headphones for 10+ years
My good earbuds are also Skullcandy. Something about their audio quality just really does it for me.
The time my headphones wire got damaged I blame my cat who was always jumping up trying to get petted.
But again thanks!
Current set i have was some cheapo brand from the UK I bought for like 40 bucks iirc like a year ago.
The only thing that has gone wrong is the right earcup has come loose (Or the thing that holds it in place) but it is possible to slide it back into position and it surprisngly does hold without the support thingo.
both right and left speakers still work.
Last one I had the wire kept getting tangled on the edge of the desk so that eventually broke the wire because the gauging wasn't thick enough to cope with it but i wouldn't blame the manufacturer for it, it's just bad luck for me.
but then I had very bad luck with bluetooth headset , both of them had the bluetooth stop working months after I got them.
they're models that can be fit with an male to male headphone wire so at least they still worked that way.
