Any good older games with an arcade feel to them?

Looking for something like prince of persia sands of time or tomb raider legend, before games started aiming for ultra realism and immersive graphics. Just want something I can run through and feel like I'm playing a game, not a real life simulation of something.

Always love watching twitch streams of people just running through the same game hundreds of times and being really passionate about it like re1 remake or metal gear solid games, I kind of wish I could develop a passion for a game to really want to just play it over and over and discover every nook and cranny in it.

Is there anything you'd recommend? Open to all genres

Well, it's not a super old game, and it is an Indie title, but I'd recommend Retro City Rampage DX. It's pretty fun.

Be warned however, that Steam version is an unplayable mess with Windows10.
Go for GoG version for less trouble.

and i completely agree with you op that this realism trend is tiring i took a break from the total war series because of it and have gone back to playing age of empires.
